Sabalos Reef
Light to moderate current with good visibility.
This is a great dive loaded with things to see. This reef supports an amazing amount of life. Almost everything you can see in the Mexican Caribbean can be seen here from the smallest of nudibranches to the giant tarpon (sábalo in Spanish) after which this reef is named. Tarpon can be seen here in great numbers when the conditions are right.
This reef has an interesting topography with walls, groves, overhangs and traversable passages. If you think it’s good during the day, try it at night!
